US To Ratify The Nuclear Weapons Treaty

The USA is currently, along with Russia, claimed to be working in cooperation for the reduction of the number of nuclear weapons it has at its disposal. The armament of the country during the Cold War is about to be reduced and the war heads to be destroyed as agreed between the Russian Federation and the States. The other two important nuclear players - France and the UK have already agreed under the Treaty and have enforced it.
The new terms of the treaty would be accepted in the domestic US law by the Parliament and is expected to take effect from the beginning of 2011. Still the response of Russia is awaited, but as their president Medvedev has announced, he is extremely happy with the decision of the USA decision-makers and said that the Russian Parliament would be working towards ratification as soon as possible too. The Treaty was concluded after the end of the Cold War and the fall of communism and its main objective is the preservation of peace and the avoidance of the use of nuclear weapons as their devastating impact on the people would leave many incapabilities in a case of a war conflict.
Still the USA, Russia and France and the UK remain the main players on the nuclear weapons stage. And while many other countries, that claim to be developing biodiesel storage tanks and technologies actually develop an independent nuclear weapons facilities, these nations are at least making an effort to reduce the danger from eventual radiation in a war conflict. However, countries like Pakistan, North Korea and Iran continue to develop military technologies and the probably involvement of nuclear power disturbs the world. These states have not entered or ratified any of the agreements for nuclear disarmament and still remain a potential threat to global security and peace.
